Oooh, I don’t mind if I do

The allotment AGM this afternoon. We were lucky to escape with dry weather as the forecast was for heavy showers. It was a Project A free event simply to elect officers for the coming year, listen to reports from the chairman and treasurer and to ask questions.

It was mainly a fund raising event to replenish the coffers after a couple of years of not being able to. There was a raffle and cakes were being sold at 25p each. The carrot cake was very good indeed. We had a sausage inabun as well.

We won a bootle of wine in the raffle as well as some shower gel, a silk scarf and a small tray which came as one prize. Some clearing out being done I think! Nobody wanted the last two items no matter how many tickets were drawn! They were a lawn aerator and a Christmas tree!
