Wood Sandpiper
This afternoon Jane and I went to WWT Caerlaverock where Jane had volunteered for many years. We had a lovely afternoon with Steve , one of the wardens , showing us many delights on the reserve including this sweet little wood sandpiper. It’s a rare sighting in these parts , so we felt lucky.

My partner has been unwell all day , so sadly couldn’t join us .
In the evening our friend Ana took Jane and I out for a delicious meal at the Nith Hotel. I had gone out for emergency supplies for A previously. :-(
Today is the end of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. I’ve enjoyed watching so many different sports. I’m looking forward to the para Olympics in a few weeks time.
