Hoy Kirk
The good news is l have no camera today; bad news for you all is that I'm persisting.
A meeting with our contractor today in the Hoy Kirk. We are trying to develop a technically robust quote to include in an application for funding. The interior south wall needs picked down and lined and insulated.
A much smaller project (or so l thought) was re-felting part of the bolt hole shed roof. Once l was up top CMC removed the ladder, l stood on the hammer and clarted mesel' with bitumen. Mr Pastry wasn't in it. To be continued (the morn).
Other island news is that Choo Choo and family arrived home, Alma has a job working two days a week in Kirkwall Frozen Food Centre, Mrs Sinclair has a pram for sale (she's 81) and Ena is busy varnishing her zither. Desmond was carried shoulder high up the Hoy Pier; he has just returned from Peninsular Malaysia where he had been studying the nutmeg family. Elspeth McGregor didn't realise the railings outside the bank had been newly painted until she had to steady herself. She hadn't had her palm red for years.
Always put the kettle on first.
