The many faces of a last day

For our last full day on this holiday, Elbows wrote a list of what everyone wanted to do; and it was quite a list.

He was a little driven to tick everything off.

Elbows and I walked the dogs first whilst others were doing their own things and that’s where the sheepies were.

We then headed off to Budleigh Salterton again - PuddleDuck really wanted to wade into the sea so she was one of the first ones in. I followed and swam out and it was glorious. I haven’t swum in the sea for ages and it felt so good. It was quite rough though and getting out of the water felt a little like a fight with the waves.

Heavy rain was heading our way so we packed up and moved but then the sun came out and everyone stopped to play spikeball - which then left too little time for a cream tea as well as watching The Lions game so Elbows list landed up missing a tick.

We had an amazing last supper at a beef and beer place, toured all late night shops looking for scones but none were to be found and by the time we got back, we were watching the men’s marathon.

A wonderful last day.
