Crockadoodle
A warm/hot and sunny day but we spent the morning at Crockadoodle in Larkhall, the village just below where Grace now lives. It is a pottery shop where you can have paint your own sessions.
Since moving in April Eda has coveted a unicorn with a fairy on it’s back in the shop window. So today was the day to have a go at painting her own. I was taken to be on ‘stop Jude grabbing’ duty but as it turned out Jude had a taster session at her nursery just down the road where she will be starting in September. She has been once with Grace staying with her but today she was left on her own. She loved it.
You can see the joy on Eda’s face when the unicorn was brought out (he had put one on one side specially for her) she isn’t yet four so her artistic skills are just developing but she really concentrated and focused well on her task for nearly an hour.
The aim was for a rainbow effect! I’m sure it will take pride of place somewhere when it is collected after firing next week!
Mummy painted a butter dish. It’s a cafe as well so we were able to have a coffee with our painting.
We stayed in Larkhall for an open air lunch at The Shed. Great salads and vegetarian food. We shared a butternut squash, mushroom and blue cheese pie and a meze cake.
Over to Bristol to visit one of Grace’s friends who was one of her bridesmaids. After her morning excitement Jude was asleep when we got there so I stayed in the car with her for a while. It was hot and I may just have had 40 winks myself!
