Glasgow-city of cafe culture

It's a long time since I have been in Glasgow city centre and I was gobsmacked today to see how it has changed. 
Every street in the centre seemed to be lined with outdoor cafes. 
 The place had a strong European feel about it. We had lunch in an outdoor Greek cafe in George Square.

Only when we got within the vicinity of Central station did the old edgy , gritty Glasgow remain.
What was missing though were the street musicians and performers.  Hopefully they will all return soon.
