Diana talking to Luke on Skype. It must be at least 2 months since she has spoken to him, so it was quite an occassion. Because of the 8 hours time difference, he had to wait till 01:00 in the morning to catch her when she got in from school. One of the advantages for me in working from home. I get to speak to him earlier in the day and a little mor often.

He sounded well and he is looking forward to coming home for 2 weeks. He has given us a long list of foods that he misses and wants us to prepare for him, from fairy cakes to bacon sandwiches. Chinese food is lovely, but after 3 years, he is missing good old fashioned home cooking. I suggested he cooked something for himself over there, but he lives with his girlfriend and her mum often comes for dinner and in the Chinese culture, it would be considered rude to cook and serve food for one. Everything is shared/communal and Carey and her mum have no appetite for western food.

On the off chance that Matthew reads this blip, how about you calling home? If your brother can call from China, you can call from France :-)
