A shift in the weather

Today remained cooler than it’s been lately, which I really appreciate. The heat has been oppressive, certainly for us here in this place. Usually we only see a few plus 30’s days but this year there have been weeks of it. So when it’s cools off, we are grateful.

Tonight as the day was winding down Lauralea thought she smelled rain. Her nose proved to be right. A gentle rain was falling.

The nights are already getting longer so we know what is to come.

But first, a few more warmer days please.
