WidWed.......blue
I am back blipping on Thursday for WidWed yesterday.
The Driver had an idea ...........let's go for a drive up north (we usually go south) and have a look at the wildflowers which have begun to appear. Brilliant! I thought - I'll call Doyley and see if she would like to come. Well, 12 hours and over 750 kms later we returned home. What a day! For one thing, the sun shone up there - we haven't had much sunshine lately and us West Aussies aren't used to that.
We had the best time, the canola was sensational, the wheat paddocks were just so green, the orchids have begun to show themselves (see extras) and we found a couple of the elusive wreath flowers (the pink, clumpy flower in extras). The everlastings have started in some areas but we were probably two weeks early for the full, explosive display. But we will have a puppy in 2 weeks so it had to be done now........
We drove home via the coast road (we know we are "salt water people") and saw a rather gentle sunset. (extras)
All in all an enjoyable if tiring day. The Driver did well to get us there and back safely. ;-)
(I am tagging this for wildflower week too as I've added them as extras. )
