Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

2021 Tuesday — Not my Knee

This photo was taken in the Orthopedic Department exam room this morning.

My thumb has not felt well since I had surgery on Friday, July 16, for trigger thumb.

On Monday, August 2, Mr. Fun & I took off the bandage with thick padding and removed the 2 stitches. The wound looks fine, healing quite nicely, but when I touch my thumb just to the right of the wound it sends something like electrical shocks up my thumb to the tip of the thumb. The outside side of my thumb is numb, feels dead, and it is very annoying to touch it.

I did talk to my doctor on the phone this past week and she talked like she just could not imagine what could be wrong with it and she said then, "we'll just hope it gets better," that was before I was experiencing these shocks. So, I did not email her about these weird electrical shocks.

So I had an appointment with my thumb surgeon this morning. My doctor said, “It's just going to take time.” In 8 weeks the scar where the incision was made should soften.

Good night from warm
Southern California,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun), aka Carol
and Chloe & Mitzi too!
