Another Day, Another Lighthouse

The last few days have been very damp. We have experienced 4 inches of rain during this period which is about 12% of the total for the year in our location.

It is a day for study, and I have been looking at another Lighthouse subject. Roker, just south of Sunderland.

It is a good subject for Lighthouse graphics. I have copies of all the original drawings and today’s Blipfoto shows one on the 30 inch screen of my Apple Mac Pro.

The drawings are dimensioned to 1/8th of an inch. This is accurate building standards. The drawings will be used to provide for a 3D model constructed on the Mac.

Working in Imperial Measure is easy. The modelling programmes work in any units you can imagine. The model will be full size.

This is going to take some time as there are some complex shapes.
