Today’s Blipfoto shows the nearest tree to "The Policies" marked  on the Preservation Order which covers this area.

If I could lay my hands on my copy of the order, I could identify the tree by species and variety. All of the trees in The Policies covered by the Order are still standing, unlike many which lined the road.

Any tree that we have planted are also covered by the Order although not identified.

The weather appears set fair for the next week. Mrs Dog is visiting tomorrow and would like to accompany us on a walk of our choice.

I am now arranging talks to be given to various groups around Scotland. All are for 2022, and hopefully life will have settled down to a new normal.

We are keeping in touch with Sonia T (our Greek daughter) about the wild fires in Greece and Italy which are horrific.

Sonia lives in Anthens which is relatively safe apart from the ash and dreadful air quality in the city.

California also is bad, but Pat’s many relatives throughout the State are not affected (so far).

However, some of her relatives have chosen to leave the State for more northerly and eastern locations.
