Buff-tailed bumble bee ....

..... snuggling into a spear thistle.

A later walk than usual this morning .... I did some much needed gardening while it was dry and the soil still damp from the rain earlier in the week ..... then I took a friend to the treatment room, in our local health centre, to get her leg bandage changed ..... the rest of the morning was my own.

Plenty of young people out and about but with the schools going back on Monday the parks and open spaces should be much quieter.
