Chicago Midway

Our flight to Seattle left Louisville early in the A.M. landing at Chicago's Midway International Airport only 10 minutes later than when it took off due to the time change. There is quite a display on the Battle of Midway in the terminal including this SBD Dauntless hanging over the hurrying passengers. Our departure from Midway was anything but smooth. First we waited for some connecting passengers, then our route was recomputed due to weather, then we had to take on more fuel (for the new route), then we denied takeoff clearance due to storms. We finally got off the ground an hour and a half late. According to the young man sitting next to my wife we were lucky as we took off only a minute ahead of the storm he was tracking on his phone.
