Birmingham Odeon

The back end of a building that only it's architect could love. Nevertheless, this was the place of countless Heavy Metal encounters in my formative years. On 28th September 1980 (I love Wikipedia) I saw Ozzy Osbourne with his new post Sabbath band featuring the ridiculously talented Randy Rhoads on guitar. Fast forward to 19th March 1982 and Randy and two others were killed in a light aircraft crash in Leesburg, Florida. Even now he would only be in his mid 50's and would surely have been a huge star.
