No tea?
Today was not the day planned but still a relaxing sort of day. No.1 had a lie in then we sat and chatted while OH cleaned the cars. MIL came for brunch and wanted to watch Songs of Praise on the tv. It’s now on at 1.15 but I remember this as being a staple of Sunday evenings. She wanted to watch as had read in tv papers that it was coming from the village in Devon where she used to live. Apparently 25 years ago it was also filmed in the same church and she thought it might be the original film and she could spot herself in the congregation! I don’t think she has been to Church (other than Christmas) in the last 25 years proving my point that all those looking earnest and singing their lungs out are there to say ‘look Mum, I’m on the telly’!
Impromptu visit to The Pantiles this afternoon for a wander - it was a lovely atmosphere and buzzing but due to a food festival taking place we couldn’t find anywhere selling tea and cake. Although we found a bar and OH and No.1 has a beer in the sunshine ( soft drink for me as i was driving).
