LUNCH TIME

Japanese Beetles like pollen on cone flowers as much as bees do. When these adults emerge they seem to come all at once. I see giant mating balls of them on the ground and they fly into people's hairdos (not mine....no hair) and bounce off people left and right.

The challenge today was for vegetable material. Beetles don't quite fit...but it's ON vegetable matter, right? Does that count?

They are a pain...but rather pretty, I think.
