Gaillardia bud

I got this plant at the nursery because it had these incredible buds. A wonderful green with purple edges and cool prickles. It was part of a wonderful day of gardening on Sunday and then reorganizing the garden a bit on Monday.

Today, I give thanks for my 11 month old assistant. We have some problems with her eating the sand in in her sandbox, but she is just overjoyed to be outside and she is so curious and helpful. Also, the day I was given, the beauty of flowers and the warmth of the sun.
