Boat - day two

Early start and third boat in the queue for the locks.  Great help on hand to explain what we needed to do (red before white and you’ll be alright), meaning the red winch before the white winch).  All volunteers helping enjoying fresh air, involvement and camaraderie, now where does that sound familiar?

A few miles later and we encountered the tunnel and I was pleased that I had stipulated that I was not driving on this trip!  A long very narrow tunnel with a long very narrow boat!

We got to Welford for a walk around the (one horse) town, and was pleased that I had brought supplies as the pub was only open at weekends.  A pleasant evening enjoying the solitude of river life.
