Lino cut by 4 stage reduction!

This is a Lino cut print by the tutor of the course I am on. It is of the Landmark Centre in Teddington which was originally a grand church, built in Victorian times. The original parish church is across the road and still well attended. Teddington did not need two churches so the large, partially unfinished church…no tower or spire… was disused for many years until it was saved, renovated and reopened as an Arts centre in 1995.

The extras show how the Lino cut was built up using four different colours ….…red, light grey, dark grey and eventually black for highlights.

My four colour is still work in progress, two colours done , two more tomorrow so we will see how it turns out and if ok I will blip tomorrow.
