new painting.....

This is the first time i've been faced with the idea that maybe this first layer is going in the right direction, right off the bat!!!  Such a novel concept for me....usually the first 3-4 layers are challenging, and shit and i'm more often than not dissatisfied with the results!   I'm actually really liking where this painting is at!   But it only took about 1/2 an hour!!!!  I feel like i'm supposed to fight, and be all angsty for at least a few hours before a painting can be 'done'!

Second day to be playing with paint in the studio....and i've decided to give myself another day tomorrow.....the boss seems to think this is an ok idea!!!  

So i will let this rest and look at it with fresh eyes in the morning.   I might find it really is shit in the morning....hahahahaha!  oh the life of the painter!

A lovely dip in the pond at the end of the day, and lovely chat with a dear friend, while i sat on the dock!   No bugs!!
