Alexander the Great

This is one of the many, many statues that abound in central Skopje. Quite a lot of the statues are absolutely huge, but this is by far the biggest. I have left some people in the shot so you can get some idea of the scale of this statue.

Apart from the statues already in place there are numerous plinths around waiting on new statues being placed on them. Clearly the statue making business is having something of a boom here.
