Rowan Tree

The Rowan Tree or Mountain Ash, native to the UK, was believed to guard homes against evil spirits.  It's hardy, fast growing and birds are partial to the ruby red berries which give a splash of colour late in the year.  It's certainly hardy as it has survived my ministrations so far
