Kilmartin Standing Stones
A wet, dreich day
After lunch we went out from Lochgilphead to Kilmartin to see the standing stones. They have been here for 4,000 years and are spread over a couple of fields. They are all aligned with the sun to help tell the seasons and no doubt were gathering places for ritual worship.
You can see from my wife and our granddaughter that it was rather wet but, hopefully the rest of our holiday will have dry weather.
