Breakfast Time
A juvenile Coopers Hawk on my back fence, looking for a tasty bird or rodent for breakfast. These guys (and other raptors) can often be seen overhead, gliding on thermals, scanning the ground for potential meals. It's fairly unusual for them to be out this early, and more unusual for one to be roosting near the ground at this time of day. But I appreciate his posing for a blip.
