Rutland Water

We went to Rutland Water this morning to meet a friend.  There is a new zoo there, it's quite new and there wasn't a great deal, but enough for the boys and they really enjoyed it. Found it strange to see lots of animals that are found in Zimbabwe where the husband comes from.  

After the zoo, it was a play in the park, lunch and then a play on the beach they have made there.  Lots of paddling in the water - home with no shorts on for the boys. 

Afternoon of jobs to do around the house - the nice thing was they were jobs that have been waiting to be done and are now 'ticked off'. 

Today I'm grateful for: 
Lovely morning out with the boys 
Getting up and out for a run with the dog before going out 
The youngest falling asleep really nicely for the last few days - maybe, just maybe we're turning a corner!
