Loch Lubnaig
A misty start on our ascent to Ben Ledi, no wind and in spite of the mist very warm. The summit was clear with the clouds dispersing randomly giving us tantalising glimpse of what must be one of the best views in the Trossachs. The sun came out on the descent and Loch Lubnaig appeared, on a different day we would have expected to see Lubnaig and Loch Venachar from the top.
The best of the weather, hot and sunny coincided with our afternoon coffee stop at the Lade Inn, near Calendar. Excellent flat whites that arrived with complementary delectable home made truffles covered in lashings of white chocolate, straight from the fridge. We also surreptitiously scoffed some left over birthday cake that was too messy to eat on the hill.
