Edging

There's something so fine about lawns allowed to turn brown in our dry summers.
Got 3 buckets of backyard compost from Dianne, and what a pleasure it was to work it into our veggie beds. Could use a lot more. We gave away our compost generators (hens) when rats invaded a few years ago. I would toss kitchen scraps into their run, and always had a supply of compost, not as nicely rotted as Dianne's, but it was nice to spend time with the chickens while sifting through it with a screen covered wheelbarrow. Hens have a lot to say, and if I'd been paying attention, maybe they were telling me about the rats.
