Tangled web

There are many other photos I could have opted for today but, despite my lifelong arachnophobia, I've decided it has to be this spider. I was photographing the many bees on the fuchsia in the garden when the spider caught my eye and, when I took a few pictures of it, I realised it was spinning a web. It was quite mesmerising to watch.

In other news, we took Hector for a walk on the Downs, starting and ending at the Hooksway pub, where we stayed for lunch afterwards. He was really well behaved.
