Day 8 of lockdown (Old vs New)

" When time fades memory and loved ones are no longer with us what is left? Photos!"

I have always loved seeing old buildings standing along Stafford Street Timaru. They are so majestic and full of history and have always wanted to capture it with my camera.
Well today I drove into town to get my 2nd covid-19 Jab. This was the first time I ventured out of the house since lockdown. There were no cue at the clinic and the process breezed through with no one around phew!!. After waiting for 20 min before they could release me out of the building. I decided to head to Stafford Street to see if I could take a couple of photos for today's blip. I chose this one building called the Stafford Chambers because the sun was streaming on it and looks like it was just built yesterday. Came home and googled the age of the building.
This building was designed by Thomas Mullions and built in the early 1900s. So many details and the workmanship looks amazing in comparison to its neighbourhood. A magnificent architecture that stood the time.
Just beautiful
