White post with sugar cane!

I took this lovely picture of a white post yesterday.

Our government, led by the Prime Minister (Scotty), have very thoughtfully placed these every few hundred metres along the nations highways. They’re there so that travelling dogs can cock a leg when they stop for a pee.
I think that’s very thoughtful!

If dogs could vote, I’d be voting for Scotty!

Yesterday’s pee stop was opposite a typical sugar cane farm. They get 2-3 crops a year so there’s often tall canes ready for harvest and short plants just growing. The canes grow to about 6-8 feet tall and are ready for harvest about when they flower.

Enzo red- hot tip: snakes love exploring in sugar cane, looking for mice and the like. Crops best viewed from sitting on a tractor or from a distance!
