Old Sayings

They say, "The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence." and I think this young colt believes that to be true.  He stretched and stretched and I helped out by picking the best looking grass and offering it to him.  Such a lovely lad and he lives right down the street from me.  As I drove home, I thought of all those old sayings we learned as children like "many hands make light work" and "the early bird catches the worm".  Oh, and then there is my grandmother's favorite, "You'll catch more flies with honey than with vinegar".   Do you have any favorite old sayings?
