Fairy Pools, Skye

A glorious, sunny day

We set off early to go to the Fairy Pools on the west of Skye. Probably because of everyone, like us, taking Stacation holidays the car park was almost full when we got there. The walk up to the base of the Cuillins was stunning and the pools and waterfalls were beautiful. We were pleased we managed to negotiate the paths and the stepping stone river crossings - with a helping hand from a few fellow travellers. We would encourage anyone going to Skye to visit the Pools.

We then went on to the Gardens at Dunvegan Castle. They were absolutely beautiful and, again, well worth a visit.
