Skye to Ullapool

A glorious sunny day

We set off from Broadford to Ullapool via Applecross which is a distance of about 170 miles though it took about 5 hours driving because of the narrow roads.

The Applecross Pass was challenging but was accomplished without any scary incidents. We also stopped at Inverewe Gardens which were beautiful, especially in the warm sunshine.

The views on the whole journey were stunning, with mountains, lochs and sea views at every turn in the road. The view in the photo is from Kenmore in Strathcarron, overlooking Loch Torridon and Loch Shieldaig.
