Chrissie!
An afternoon with the wee one - a bit grizzly which we put down to teething. But she did play very happily awhile on the beach. The beach seemed quite tranquil - which was probably partly due to the lack of any nearby traffic noise as the road is closed along at the Starbank for resurfacing. Bliss.
And then out to meet R&E for a gig at the Queen’s Hall - Chrissie Hynde doing her thang playing her album of Dylan covers, followed by a couple of Ray Davies numbers and some very fabulous lovesick ballads ending with Charles Trenet’s Que reste-t-il de nos amours. And gosh, blimey, our seats were off at the side somewhere but we couldn’t find them - a steward helped us. We’d been switched - to table right at the front. Word of my birthday has obviously got about.
