Celeb Watch
There I was, sitting at the Pleasance at 9:45am about to set about my pain aux raisin and this woman approached me. “Excuse me” she twinkled, “were you on stage last night with John Cooper Clarke?” The curse of Mervyn Stutter strikes again!
I was there awaiting the arrival of AJ and then we were off to the Comedy Awards radio show - another BBC freebie, but this time without the SK as she had some meeting to attend. And a great show it was; too many to mention but Colin Hoult would get my vote, though Alfie Brown’s abuse was top notch. Then a nosh at the Mosque Kitchen before a swifty at the Captain’s and an even sneakier one in Sandy Bells.
And later, the main event (no, not the Hearts-Zurich game) - Grid Iron’s Muster Station:Leith. A bit overlong here and there but superb in parts. And I was one of five out of a hundred that got accepted for asylum in Finland! Note to driver for future events: don’t take a “short cut" up Leith Walk.
