Lush Life

I was riding down Leyton High Road when my head was involuntarily wrenched sideways by this spectacular display of begonias all the way up the front of the house. And Bingo! there was someone watering them. 

Leaning my bike up against the garden wall I admired the show and asked him if he would let me take a photo. Sam was only too happy and he told me that he had lived there for over 30 years and that every year he planted up these baskets, climbing the ladder himself to hang them up.

It's like a mini Chelsea flower show in E10.
