It pays to be honest!
Having recently made several trips into town with my daughter to buy such uni essentials as plants, cushions, fairy lights and anything else with an elephant on it, it was an absolute joy to take my son shopping for sixth form today.
He knew exactly what he needed, where to get it and we were in and out in no time. No nonsense, no whinging and no tears. Bliss!
We did have to go to B&M to pay for the cushion my daughter seems to have shoplifted, though! On Wednesday, having gone into town with her friend, she was at the till when an alarm went off and everyone had to leave. When she asked what she should do with the cushion, the lady on the till said ‘Just take it’ so she did… then couldn’t get back in to pay for it so came home. Having sworn I wasn’t buying her any more cushions, I ended up doing just that but it was actually only £7 - and no-one called the police - so I guess that was a result!
