We decided to go ahead with plans for a day at the seaside visiting friends and we’ve had a lovely day, walking along the seafront, avoiding the wave spray and enjoying the sunshine. We won’t be able to visit Sawston just yet.

Andréa will be staying in hospital for a few more days. She lost four litres of blood after Théa was born yesterday and received several transfusions and although she is making good progress, will be monitored closely. We haven’t spoken to her or Joff yet. Messages and photos have been the way so far and we’re being very patient. Life on a post natal obs ward is never quiet.
