What a difference a few miles makes!
Left home in Halifax this morning, the lane outside impassable and under six inches of snow. Walked one and a half miles through an ice storm and blizzards to the bus stop and eventually caught a bus to Huddersfield. Dash to the station and a train to Wakefield where there was wet snow falling. Arrived at the office after 2+ hours travelling and then dashed to the Wakefield Dementia Friendly Communities launch at the Town Hall.
I passed the bench in the picture on my way back from the shops at lunchtime.
I am now on the train home and there are blizzards again as we approach Huddersfield. The Met Office has just upgraded the severe weather warning in readiness for my one and a half mile walk home.
