SILLY SATURDAY - AND A CAT THAT NEEDS A NAME!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

When we heard Mrs. HCB on the telephone making an appointment for Mr. HCB to go into Leightons to have his glasses looked at, we thought it would be a good chance for us all to go out and have some adventures.

You might remember that when Mrs. HCB goes into Leightons all mayhem breaks loose, she has great fun and today was no exception.  

Kate, who is the Manager of the Leightons Branch in Wood Street, isn’t always there - but don’t ask where she goes from time to time - we did once and were very surprised - she looks such a nice girl too! However, she was there today and so was Lauren, who is the receptionist - we aren’t quite sure what else she does, but perhaps she makes a good cup of tea!  Sanjay was also there, but despite Mrs. HCB offering him a reward for being in the Blip, he declined, which was such a shame - some people don't know an adventure when they see one.

We said that if we were going to be photographed in an opticians, then we really ought to be wearing glasses of some description, so Kate and Lauren quickly found some children’s sunglasses - so that we could be incognito - by the way, Kate is the tall one standing behind Lauren but you can’t see how pretty they are because of course, they are wearing masks.  Kate also found some lovely cases and I specially liked the pig one by the side of Hoggy but the cow case looks good too.  Unfortunately, we had to give all the sunglasses and the cases back at the end of the photoshoot.  

Lauren had an inkling that we were going to be there ready for an adventure, so she had brought her little black and white cat, which sadly has no name!  We were all very upset because everyone has to have a name, so if you lovely Blippers can think of a name for Lauren’s cat, then she says she will be very happy.  She used to have a real cat that looked like this, but sadly it died about two years ago, and she bought this to replace it.  She still has two live cats though, but just can’t think of a name for this one, so please help.  I suggested Pinky because it has a pink nose, but you might think of something better. 

When the photoshoot was over and Mr. HCB had been “seen to”, Mrs. HCB gave Kate some Jaffa Cakes and HobNobs to share with the staff.  It was lovely to meet Kate and Lauren and I’m sure we will be popping in there again sometime because you know we do like to have adventures on Silly Saturday, in memory of dear Admirer and I’m sure she would have giggled if she had seen us all today.
