Family Christening Day

To ensure we would be on time for our granddaughter’s Christening this morning we stayed in a nearby Wiltshire Pub with rooms. A lovely day began with a rare treat, for me, of a full fried breakfast. Our LFT tests were negative and we were good to go. Phew!

We all wore masks in the church. After the service our son and daughter-in-law gave us all a delicious outdoor lunch. It was super to socialise again, as we had done earlier this month, for our son-in-law’s birthday.

Our Wiltshire family live in the international dark sky reserve area of Cranborne Chase AONB.

My blip shows the road home to Cheltenham!

Further up the road we drove beside the graveyard of jumbo jets at Kemble airfield. There is something quite profound about these giants of the skies silently awaiting their demolition and recycling.
