I found this Kowhai tree on the lockdown walk this afternoon.  We only did the lower section of the hill walk because the ground is still very wet and slippery on the slopes after Fridays rain.  Kowhai is the name of the tree and also the Maori word for yellow.  Kowhai yellow will appear in Finns colour book.
