My sister-in-law, Josie, had an operation on her thumb today, specifically a Trapezectomy. She was in this morning at 8.00 am and out of this afternoon. She looked OK although as you can see from the blip plastered.

She'll probably feel worse tomorrow but has some strong painkillers to take which will hopefully give her a good night's sleep.

Apart from the pain the most difficult thing for her I think is depending on other people to do the things we mostly take for granted. Even making a cup of tea is out of bounds for a couple of days.

Anyway I've offered to pop in before work to help her dress if she needs help but knowing Josie she'll struggle on herself!

Next time I'll take a blip of the whole of her, she has such a happy smillie face!
