A Splendid Avenue of Trees

H took me on a mystery tour of some of the 'out of the way' paths at Felbrigg today. The extra is of some of the attractive grasses we came across.
 
It was interesting to discover areas of grasses, gorse and heather in a part of the estate that I had previously thought was just woodland.  I'm looking forward to re-visiting this avenue of trees in the Autumn when the colours will be gold and red.
 
Felbrigg was very busy by the time we left around midday, but it's surprising how few people there are once you start walking away from the car park and cafe.
