Staying put

This is Ralphy (Cat and Master of the household) speaking

I've had the house to myself today and this is as far as I have been. I made sure the humans were up at their usual time but Mrs. P was not happy because she had a day off today and could have had a lie in.

I surveyed the estate from the comfort and warmth of the conservatory window sill before returning to the warmth of my bed in front of the radiator.

The humans left me a window slightly open so I could go out but having looked at the weather there was no way I was going anywhere outside unless it became absolutely necessary.

As for the humans, well they're just stupid! They went out in the gales and freezing conditions when the more sensible option was to go back to bed like I did.

Since they got home I've been outside to do the necessary but I didn't hang about. Back inside to the bed by the radiator.

I'm now sitting on the sofa keeping Dad (Brian) warm

Well there's not much to add after that, is there?

It is perishingly cold though we don't have as much snow as some parts.

I'm watching England v San Marino on the TV and so far a Bank Clerk has scored an own goal to give England the lead. Well who would have though? A Banker making a costly mistake????????
