The horse mussel shell was picked up from a local beach and the rhododendron bloom, found on the ground, is from my garden.

Today NZ won a bronze medal in swimming, bringing the total number of medals to five.


Covid update - Day 13 of lockdown
There are 53 new cases - all in Auckland
A total of 567 confirmed community cases in NZ
Thirty seven people are in hospital with 5 in intensive care.

A woman in her 50’s with medical issues has died from myocarditis, a rare side effect of Pfizer vaccination. 
This is the first case in NZ where a death in the days after vaccination has been linked to the vaccine.

Alert Levels
Auckland & Northland will remain at Alert Level 4
- Auckland for a further two weeks
- Northland could move to Level 3 on Thursday at 11.59pm
The remainder of NZ will move to Level 3 at 11.59pm on Tuesday. This will be reviewed in a week. (hopefully we will then move to Level 2 - and more freedom!)
