All looking out to sea...
...as darkness falls. We are not exactly alone, out in the wilderness, but it feels lovely to be here, to be out, and to be with good friends.
Earlier in the day, when we first arrived, there were two German, one Dutch, and one Italian camper parked. Sweden has gone back to work and left the nature to other Europeans! By the evening a couple more Swedish vans had arrived.
In the day we walked through the forest and out onto the shore in a bay, sheltered from the northerly wind. It was delightfully warm and we found some wild roses growing on the shore (extra). Less photogenic but more surprising was the large area of sea-buckthorn growing there. The berries were tiny, juicy, slightly sour and very yellow. There were too few to pick but enough to taste and maybe get our vitamin C for the day!
During the day the sky cleared completely. A short time after I took this picture the moon rose and for five minutes there was a tiny patch of green in the sky, a little northern lights. I seemed to be the only person outside and it was totally quiet, apart from the sea occasionally rippling over the rocks.
