A day round Grasmere

I know ... Grasmere on a bank holiday weekend ... I must be losing it. But Deb's Aunt & Uncle from Southport were on a coach trip to Grasmere, and we'd agreed to meet them around lunchtime. We went down early (to get parked) and walked over Silver How, which we've only done once before - and it was on a foggy day back in 2016. Today was stunning (extra), giving us wonderful views over Helm Crag and Seat Sandal. We'll do it again when the autumn colours change.

When Deb's Aunt and Uncle arrived, we had a light lunch at the lovely Baldreys, then walked round the lake, stopping at Faeryland for a cuppa. Faeryland is a lakeside tea garden, with a jetty & boats, swans & ducks.

A lovely day, supposed to be a very gentle day, but we still managed 8.5 miles!
