home time

Up early and got ready to go...took a picture of my flowers (as couldn't bring them with me in hand luggage!) and we left on time to start the drive to Lyon airport.

So strange driving up past the exits that would take me to mum and dad's house. Really wanted to ditch the flight back to Edinburgh and just go and see my family.

Said our goodbyes and I boarded the plane home.

Went to see Fiona when I got back for a couple of hours and then made a phone call to my friend, Sam.

Sam's partner, Gary, passed away suddenly earlier this week. He was only 38. It was a total shock and heartbreakingly sad for everyone.

Gary was an amazing photographer and put some of his pictures up here on blip. I never met him, but always got excited when he published a new entry as most of them were beautifully shot.

I hope Sam will feel a little better in the coming days. I'm thinking about her all the time.
